The VT supreme court should have seen this one coming and have a decision already in their minds. The only reason this has gotten this far is because this cop hired a big time defence attorney, and the rutland herald may now the name but they're going to release it because their big time lawyers told them not to because they fear being sued for slander.

This is no different than that guy in Wallingford with the day care center, hell they plastered his picture and name in the paper.

Again, a police officer has to be held to a hire standard, and somewhere maybe i'm confused but I thougth someone said this was not the first time he was caught with porn on his computer. Last time I wrote a check to the city for my property taxes I didn't expect that I was contributing to a some psycho cops slush fund for porn, kiddie or not.

Maybe in order to get changed, we should just stop paying all of our taxes considering we really have no idea where the money is going. this cop is a paid employee, paid to protect the community not use the dept. as his personal porn library.

Wiliardi and Jerry Ready to Appeal Guilty Verdicts, Sigid Disappointed but Undecided

Wiliardi Wizar’s wife, Novarina, said she was disappointed with the 12 year jail sentence given to her husband after he was found guilty of involvement in the murder of Nasrudin Zulkarnaen.

Wiliardi would appeal the verdict, along with Jerry Hermawan Lo who received a five year sentence, while Sigid Haryo Wibisono, who was sentenced to 15 years, was still undecided about his next step.

Novarina said that she believed her husband was innocent and she would support whatever steps Wiliardi would take to pursue justice.

“I’m disappointed but I’m optimistic (that Wiliardi will get justice) because the hands of God have not worked,” Novarina said.

Wiliardi’s lawyers said they would appeal the verdict.

Wiliardi’s sentence was lighter than the prosecutor’s demand for death sentence, however judges said the indictment was proven and they refused his defense. Wiliardi, a middle-ranking police officer, was found guilty of causing the loss of somebody’s life and giving indirect answers during a hearing, even though none of the 36 witnesses said that he gave the order to kill.

The National Police said they respected the court’s verdict for Wiliardi.

“For the National Police, the verdict proved that we didn’t fabricate anything even though we’re very concerned because Wiliardi is a member of the National Police family. He will always be our family but we have to respect what the court decided,” said chief detective of the National Police, Comr. Gen. Ito Sumardi, on Thursday.

Ito added that Wiliardi’s status remained as a police official until the legal process was completed.

Meanwhile, media magnate Sigid Haryo Wibisono, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison, had not yet decided to appeal. Sigid’s lawyer, Sholeh Amin, said they were disappointed with the verdict but they would use the alloted time for consideration before appealing the verdict.

Jerry Hermawan Lo, who received the shortest jail sentence, said he would file for an appeal.

“I will appeal definitely. The verdict should have been lower,” Jerry said.
